Our little boy is the length of a banana and weighs approximately 14oz!
I know I missed 20 weeks. I think I was excited to be at the half way mark and plumb forgot to put my excitement into writing. All is well though.
I'm eating just as much as I always have (truck loads). Yet I have still only gained 8lbs. Our little guy is putting it all to good use.
Physical changes: I am obviously pregnant now. Ive had strangers ask when I'm due. So it's nice to be past the "fat or pregnant?" stage. I've been trying to walk a bit more so my hips don't hurt as much, but I think it just is what it is at night. Sleeping on my side means my hips feel like they're crushed by morning. My doctor mentioned a brace I might try. Feeling lots of kicks though! And baby boy definitely already has a sleep pattern. I feel him most between 10-11am, 2-4pm, and a ton at night. He also likes to kick a lot when I'm rocking Squeaks to sleep.
Happy thoughts: I had my anatomy scan on Tuesday. This would have been the ultrasound that would have told us gender if we hadn't done the genetic testing. Little dude showed the goods proudly though and was as active as ever. The nurse even had trouble getting pictures of his hands and feet because he wouldn't still! The doctor looked over the images and confirmed that everything looks healthy and normal! Such a pleasant change from my last pregnancy. Squeaks had fun pointing and waving at her brother on the monitor just like last time. She's going to be a very loving big sister.
Josh also got to feel his first kick the other day! Exciting stuff. He's such an awesome dad.

I got a snoogle pillow. It's not a miracle but has helped with hip pain from sleeping on my side.
ReplyDeleteI was hoping all was well since you didn't post 20 weeks. So exciting!!
