33 Weeks

Little dude is the size of a honeydew melon! According to last Tuesday's ultrasound he's a sturdy 4lbs 7oz. Healthy!

Physical changes: I feel huge!!! I feel clumsy. I feel an elbow (or is that a knee?)! I feel hiccups! I feel tired. I feel excited to meet our little man.

A few times now I've literally watched baby body parts poke out of my stomach. Kicks have given way to huge rolls. Rolling over a nerve or my bladder. Rolling across dad's hand as he freaks out that "there's a person in there!" It really is mind blowing. I have to believe there are hormones in play that keep moms from freaking out every time their insides flip over. I'm growing a human! Again, mind blowing.

Happy thoughts: Seven weeks! Seven weeks! SEVEN WEEKS!!!!!

I use a baby tracking app on my phone (I'm sure like most pregnant moms do) that also has a community comment board. From first time mom's to seasoned veterans, thousands of woman go on and post questions, concerns, and offer support. It's a nice resource. Lately a few posts have announced the early arrivals of babies! At this point they are still considered preemies, but with amazing medical advancements, will go on to lead healthy lives (most likely). It's just crazy to me to see these pictures of babies born at the same stage our little guy is at. Being able to visualize his size and how chubby he might be, it's amazing. I am obviously absolutely hoping to keep him in there for the duration (and medically there is no reason to think that won't happen), it's just crazy and kinda fun to see these babies and recognize we will have one soon!!

I've taken the advice of a few websites and started packing our hospital bag. Well, right now it's just a plastic Target bag with a few travel sized toiletries in it. Haha! Keeping with the theme of this pregnancy, I am in no hurry. I've pinned a couple "hospital packing lists" and have started my own list of "don't forget!" items (cell phone/chargers, ID and insurance cards, etc.) It's getting pretty real!

Taken at 32 weeks 5 days old! Still think he has Josh's nose.
