37 Weeks

Our little dude is the size of a mini watermelon, and according to Tuesday's ultrasound (my last one!), he weighs 6lbs 9oz.

Since my last post at 35 weeks, I have taken every opportunity available to satisfy my craving for that Chick-Fil-A breakfast sandwich. I've had three in the last two weeks. Each one better than the last. I have no shame.

Physical changes: He pushes on me SO HARD! Sometimes it feels like he's bracing myself again the back of my uterus and pushing outward. It feels like he's gonna break through the front! There have also been a few times when I've felt what could only be described as a tapping sensation on the...um.."exit door"...if ya know what I'm sayin'. At my ultrasound Tuesday he was still head down, very low, and his hands were by his face. So he could very well be knocking. My O.B. checked me at my 36 week appointment and I'm 1.5cm dilated, and he's at -2 station (had to look up what a "station" is). On my way! I know from reading and hearing friend's stories that you can stay slightly dilated at the same number for weeks so the 1.5cm doesn't really mean anything (had to explain that to Josh after he freaked out when I told him I was already dilated). But my doctor did say it's a good indicator that my body will progress naturally and I won't need to be induced. Yay!!

Happy thoughts: THREE weeks left!! This has gone by so fast. Our hospital bag is (mostly) packed, bassinet set up next to my side of the bed, birth plan done. We still need to put his car seat in but that won't take long. We're so ready to meet this little guy!
